Description

Stephen King. The Stand. Garden City: Doubleday & Company, 1978. First edition (with code "T39" present in the gutter of page 823). Inscribed and signed by King on the front free endpaper, "To Ross - / All best, / Stephen King / 9/8/79." Octavo. [xii], 823 pages. Publisher's black cloth over tan paper boards with gilt spine titles. Original pictorial dust jacket. Minor soiling and rubbing to cloth. Edges a bit worn, with a few noticeable bumps to the edges. Spine slightly bowed and creased, seen often with this title. Very minor spotting to text edges and endpapers, otherwise the text is very clean. A couple of small areas of discoloration to the jacket. Spine a touch creased. The jacket appears to be slightly misfolded. Overall, a very good copy of the first publication of King's epic.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
