    More Information:

Stephen King. 'Salem's Lot. Garden City: Doubleday, 1975. First edition. With a wonderful inscription signed by King to his close friend, Flip Thompson, reading: "For Flip and Karen, / with a great deal of respect / and admiration and all that / stuff. Too much to put into words, / really. I expect there'll be another / one next year, if we're all lucky that / long. / Steve King / October 3, 1975" on the front free endpaper. Octavo. 439 pages. Publisher's black cloth over red paper boards with gilt spine titles. Some rubbing and light soiling to boards. Corners abraded. Light bump to top corner of text. A very good copy with an intimate association inscription. Accompanied by a photocopy of a 1987 letter from bookseller David John Turner of Carlson & Turner Antiquarian Books in Portland Maine, who purchased this book, along with the four other Stephen King books inscribed to Flip in this auction, directly from Thompson's second wife, Sharon.
