First trade edition, inscribed by the author on front free endpaper: "To my mid-western prop / Mary Elizabeth Ford / with every good wish / A. W. Tillinghast / --- 19th 1934." Twelvemo. [2, blank], 105, [1] pages. Publisher's red cloth, gilt stamped on front board. Light rubbing on extremities, spine ends slightly bumped, covers somewhat over-opened. Nearly fine.

    More Information:

    A. W. Tillinghast was "one of the great golf course architects in golf history." He organized several tournaments, and designed over 250 courses including Baltusrol, Winged Foot, the San Francisco Golf Club and Bethpage Black.
