Will James: Review Copy of The Drifting Cowboy with Signed Original Drawing and Autograph Letter Signed Pasted In (New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1925), first edition, 241 pages, tan paper boards shelf backed in brown cloth with gilt spine titles and brown titles on the front board, 8vo (7.25" x 9.5"), no dust jacket. Illustrated throughout with black & white plates. Publisher's review slip laid in. Original drawing signed "Bill James - '27" pasted down to the front free endpaper. Lengthy 1925 ALS signed "Will James" folded and pasted down to the half title page. The ALS also has an original Will James drawing at the top right. The book is in very good condition, with moderate edge wear, foxing at the endpapers, and some toning to the textblock edges. The ALS has horizontal and vertical folds so that it fits inside the book, else very fine. The drawing at the front free endpaper shows some foxing. A rare and wonderful review copy of The Drifting Cowboy with TWO James signatures and TWO original drawings.
