    Thomas Bailey Aldrich Signed: From Ponkapog to Pesth From the Library of Writer Eugene Field. (Boston: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1883), first edition, 267 pages, signed by the author on the title page, grey pictorial cloth with maroon titles on the front board, gilt titles on the spine, 12mo (5" x 7.25"), soiling to boards, spine and corners frayed, corners bumped, a few small holes along the front hinge, rear internal hinge cracked, contents toned, else a good copy. As noted, this book is from the personal library of American writer Eugene Field. Field has signed his name on the ffep, and his son, Eugene Field II, has inscribed the book on the rear free endpaper "This book came from the library of my father, Eugene Field. Eugene Field II Sept. 2-1823". A similar inscription on letterhead with Eugene Field's coat-of-arms has been laid at the front of the book.
