First edition limited to 200 hand-numbered copies, of which this is number 141, signed by Theodore Roosevelt. Quarto. xvi, 472 pages. Proof illustrations on Japanese paper including the frontispiece and twenty-three plates after drawings by A. B. Frost, Henry Sandham, J. Carter Beard, C. Harry Eaton, and Frederick Remington under captioned tissue guards. Original tan buckram with gilt-stamped titles on the front board and spine. Top edges gilt. Light spotting to boards with some toning on the spine panel. Contents clean and crisp. Contemporary gift inscription on the front free endpaper. Small photograph of Roosevelt centrally mounted to the front pastedown. A very good copy of this rather scarce title.
