First edition, limited edition of 500 signed and numbered copies, unnumbered. Signed by the author on the limitation page. Octavo. [xxi, 3 pages], 405 pages, including index. Photographs throughout. Frontispiece of Byrd. Publisher's blue cloth binding, with gilt lettering stamped on front and spine. Housed in a navy slipcover.

    Condition: Spine sunned and separating from the binding. Spine edges and corners rubbed and slightly bumped. Else very good. The slipcover is rubbed in places and has started to split at the lower edges.
