Inscribed by Haley on the title page. 8vo. 79 pages. Original blue printed wrappers with extended edges bound into blue cloth covered boards with titles stamped in gilt on the front board. Fine condition.

    More Information:

    The existence of a major cattle trail from California to Texas and several major drives over this trail seven years before the Civil War is little known and this work is a major source on the subject. This is the first separate edition, the original having appeared serially in the Southwestern Historical Quarterly.
