    First edition, first printing. Typed Letter Signed by the author affixed to front pastedown endpaper. Octavo. 368 pages. Top edge trimmed but others uncut.

    Housed in brown cloth chemise and quarter leather over brown cloth slipcase with the spine stamped in gilt.

    Boards exhibit very minor rubbing, light bumping to the corners and spine ends, small spotting of white discoloration and the gilt is rubbing off. Very minor rubbing to the slipcase. A very good copy of the author's controversial fantasy novel which was denounced by the New York Society for the Suppression of Vice. 

    First edition, first printing points: "August 1919" on copyright page.
