    One of 750 Copies Signed by Kerouac

    Jack Kerouac. Excerpts From Visions of Cody. [New York: New Directions, 1960]. First edition, one of 750 copies signed by Kerouac. Octavo. 128 pages. Purple cloth backstrip, lettered and decorated in silver on the spine, over cream boards, front board lettered in lavender and red. Original publisher's glassine, chipped slightly at the top of the spine, not affecting book. Cloth backstrip slightly faded. A very clean copy of a book normally seen quite rubbed. Visions of Cody was not published in its entirety until 1972, after Kerouac's death. This limited edition has become quite scarce.
