Signed by the editor on the contents page. Original wraps bound in blue cloth over boards with lettering gilt stamped on the front cover. Marbled endpapers. Some toning of the pages; repairs to original front wrap and contents page. Overall a near fine copy.

    More Information:

    Haley authored a story entitled "Charles Goodnight's Indian Recollections". The story was later issued as a separate printing limited to 100 copies. During this period Haley was no doubt immersed in research for what would later be his definitive biography of the legendary Texas cowman, Charles Goodnight.
