First edition, first printing, inscribed and signed by author in fountain pen, "To Jean & Harrison / best wishes always / Ernest Hemingway." With Scribner seal and "A" to copyright page as required. Octavo (8.5 x 5.5 inches; 216 x 140 mm). 597 pages. Bound in publisher's red-orange cloth, with sunning to spine and light soiling, housed in a facsimile dust jacket. Interior has some toning and very mild discoloration, with front joint and flyleaf faintly beginning to separate. Overall in good to very good condition.

    Signed first edition, first printing of Hemingway's anthology work, an uncommon title signed by the Pulitzer Prize winning author, which includes his only full-length play, "The Fifth Column," along with several stories set during the Spanish Civil War. Included Hemingway's first story "Up in Michigan."

    A rare signed edition of this Hemingway work.
