    Edward Everett Signed Book: Dorchester in 1630, 1776, and 1855. An Oration Delivered on the Fourth of July, 1865, Major Benjamin Perley Poore's personal copy. (Boston: David Clapp, 1855), first edition, viii, 158 pages, half black calf over marbled boards, 8vo (6" x 9.25"), tipped into the front is an Autograph Quote Signed "Washington was the greatest of good men and the best of great men. Edward Everett Cleveland, O. 13th April, 1861", also signed on a blank front page "Maj. Ben: Perley Poore with the kind regards of his friend Marshall P. Wilder". Book in very good condition with only minor shelf wear.

    Also included in this lot is a one page Autograph Letter Signed "Ben: Perley Poore", one page, 5" x 8", Washington, February 12, 1886 and a period steel engraving. Both fine. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
