    Description

Charles A. Lindbergh: A Signed Inscribed 1st Edition Copy of The Spirit of St. Louis. Clothbound copy of the 1st 1953 Scribner's release, a pre-publication copy presented by Lindbergh to Gen. Leon W. Johnson. Johnson was a heroic flyer during WWII, who received the Medal of Honor for his in a bombing run on an oil field in Rumania, and ultimately held important Air Force position in Europe during the post-war years. The book itself is in generally fine condition, with a beautiful Lindbergh inscription on the title page. A signed first edition copy of Lindbergh's famous memoirs remains one of the most elusive high points for serious collectors of aviation literature; presentation copies with an association of this importance qualify as a true treasure.
