Octavo. 139 pages. Pictorial bright orange cloth stamped in black, spine lettered in black; original illustrated dust jacket. Minor edgewear, edges somewhat faded, foot of spine just pushed. Black and white illustrated endpapers after drawings by Jo Mielziner for the stage setting of the play. Internally clean and tight, all edges trimmed, top edge stained black; ink ownership to front blank recto. Dust jacket unclipped ($2.50); moderate edgewear, chipping to head and foot of spine and corners, front panel creased, 2-inch closed tear to front panel affecting "D" in the title, repaired with cellotape, tape and verso somewhat toned. Near fine book with good dust jacket.
