    Number 508 of 1,500 limited edition copies signed by the author on the limitation page. Quarto. 129 pages plus limitation page. Illustrated throughout in black and white by Rackham.


    Publisher's tan buckram lettered in gilt on the spine and decoratively stamped in black and gilt on the front cover. Top edge gilt. Pictorial endpapers. Housed in the original matching brown paper slipcase lettered in red on the spine and decoratively stamped in gilt and red on the covers. Minimal wear to the boards. Spine somewhat darkened. Internal contents bright and clean. Slipcase worn and unglued at the spine and bottom edge, but still functional. Overall, a handsome, very good copy of a scarce, beautifully illustrated book, the only edition of Dickens' The Chimes to include Rackham's illustrations.
