With a warm and lengthy inscription signed from Farmer, reading: "For Jack Cordes, who puts / it all together, from / Philip Jose Farmer, / whose body may not be / scattered but is certainly / spreading & whose mind / is scattered & maybe / even shattered but / what the hell as long / as the Cutty Sark / holds out?" on the front free endpaper. Octavo. 221 pages plus Postscript. Publisher's black cloth with gilt spine titles. Original pictorial dust jacket. Minor rubbing to the jacket, with a small nick at the spine head and a small stain at the spine tail, and light dust-soiling, else a near fine copy. From the collection of first fan, Jack Cordes.
