    Description

    Author's First Book, Signed

Philip Jose Farmer. The Green Odyssey. New York: Ballantine Books, [1957]. First edition, signed by Farmer on the half-title page. Octavo. [vi], 152, [153-154: blank] pages. Publisher's grey cloth, spine lettered in dark green, in original dust jacket. Housed in custom clamshell case. Some foxing to endpapers, mostly on paste-downs, a nearly fine copy in fine dust jacket with light rubbing at upper spine end and some light dust soiling to rear panel. Overall, an attractive copy of one of the very scarce Ballantine hardcovers and physically, so far as this book is concerned, a superior copy.

The author's first book. Anatomy of Wonder (2004) II-390.
