Publisher's red cloth with spine lettered in black, front board decoratively stamped in black; in original dust jacket. [and:] Second Foundation. New York: Gnome Press, 1953. First edition. Publisher's blue cloth, spine lettered in brown; in original dust jacket. General mild shelfwear; Foundation spine gently leaning. Textblocks very slightly toned. Dust jackets lightly worn at corners and spine ends; folds of Foundation slightly worn; faint tape residue to upper and lower margins of both flaps; front panel of Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation with some shallow rippling; rear panel of Second Foundation very lightly soiled. Near fine overall. Cards signed by Asimov laid in to Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation. Housed in matching custom clamshell cases. Currey, pp. 12-13, 15.
