[7], [1, blank], 286 pages with two-pages of ads for H. G. Wells works and an eight page catalog headed Macmillan's New Fiction. Publisher's green cloth, spine and front board lettered in gilt and elaborately stamped in blind; top edge gilt; in the original dust jacket. Backstrip very faintly dulled; spine ends very gently worn; corners tapped with a touch of wear; four very shallow ripples to the cloth on the front board near the joint; rear board very slightly bowed. Endpapers faintly toned and very lightly foxed; faint tidemark to the rear pastedown. Dust jacket faintly faded, spine panel tanned; spine ends slightly worn with moderate chipping at the bottom edge; trace mild soiling. Very good. An attractive untouched copy, as honest as they come. Currey p. 426.
