    Frank Herbert. Dune. Philadelphia / New York: Chilton Books, 1965. First edition, first printing. Signed by Herbert on the title page. Large octavo. 412 pages including multiple appendices. Publisher's light blue cloth with white titles to spine. Original pictorial dust jacket. Light rubbing and toning to cloth with a few small areas of discoloration and soft bumping to corners. Some shelfwear along bottom edge. Lightly abraded corners. Spine titles rubbed. Hinges shaken with rear starting. Occasional finger-soiling to leaves. One-inch stain to top page edges, not affecting textblock. Rubbing and minor toning to jacket with fragile folds and rear spine fold almost separated. Minor loss at the spine ends and corners. Two-inch ragged tear at bottom edge of front panel. Owner's ink name to verso of rear inner flap. Overall, a very presentable copy in very good condition.
