With frontispiece and four illustrations by J. Allen St. John (illustrations issued with yellow backgrounds) inserted throughout. Publisher's orange cloth, front board and spine stamped in black; original illustrated dust jacket. Mild skew to spine; backstrip toned and mildly creased, with some edgewear, boards rubbed and mildly soiled, with minor wear to corners; front board slightly bowed. Some light occasional thumbsoiling to endleaves and text. Jacket toned, chipped, thumbsoiled, with several tears; tape repairs at verso and on the recto of the jacket at fore-edge of rear panel.
