Inscribed by Burroughs on the front free endpaper to his brother: "To / Harry / with love / Ed / I'm too low this morning / to think of anything brilliant / the result of trying to make / a sport of my little brother. / June 12, 1923 / Tarzana Ranch". Octavo. 277 pages. Illustrated by J. Allen St. John. Publisher's original olive cloth lettered in black. Boards detached as well as a few preliminary pages; contents a bit toned, else good condition but an important association copy worthy of professional restoration.
