    First edition. Small octavo. iv, 179 pages. With six engraved plates, one a folding map of southern Italy.

    Full calf binding with gilt spine titles and decorations. Moderate wear to binding. Joints creased. Occasional minor foxing. Some terminal leaves toned in the margins from the glue under the pastedowns. Two bookplates. Otherwise a clean copy in very good condition.
