Publisher's full green cloth, front board and spine lettered in gilt; top edge stained yellow; in original dust jacket. Light rubbing to cloth spine and corners. Dust jacket spine a bit sunned; jacket spine at headcap chipped with a few short tears; jacket tailcap somewhat worn; some wear and light scuffing to front jacket panel; a one-inch creased tear to the upper margin of the rear jacket panel; mild thumbsoiling to rear jacket panel. Still, a very good copy. Named one of the twenty five greatest science books of all time by the editors of Discover Magazine in 2006, this book documented the dangers of the indiscriminate use of chemical pesticides.
