Charles Darwin. Insectivorous Plants. Fourth Thousand. With Illustrations. London: John Murray, 1876. First edition, fourth thousand (second edition published in 1788). Octavo. x, 462, 32 (publisher's catalog dated January 1883).
Illustrations in the text. Modern half morocco over marbled boards, spine stamped in gilt in compartments with four raised band and lettered in gilt on polished calf labels. Small blue ink stain to bottom edge of sheets, slight worming to publisher's catalog. Altogether, an attractive copy and very good.
