Illustrated with frontispiece portrait and one plate; minor foxing. Marbled boards backed in calf, red leather spine label lettered in gilt. Somewhat rubbed. Endpapers refreshed. Internally clean and tight, all edges uncut; minor foxing, text block toned, moderate text block edgewear with chipping and some losses. Housed in brown cloth clamshell case, brown leather spine label lettered in gilt. Very good or better.

    An account of the first crossing of the English Channel by balloon, and one of the first balloon flights ever in the accompaniment of a physician and from which extensive data was recorded.
