    Samuel Parker. Journal of an Exploring Tour Beyond the Rocky Mountains... Ithaca, N.Y.: Andrus, Woodruff, & Gauntlett, 1844. Fourth edition. Octavo in sixes. 416 pages. Folding map frontispiece "Map of Oregon Territory by Samuel Parker 1838" (approximately 15 x 23 inches). Engraved plate facing page 326 of "Basaltic Formations on the Columbia River." Original black blindstamped cloth with gilt titles on spine. Rebacked with original spine laid down. Bookplate on front pastedown over other bookplate.
    Binding lightly rubbed and soiled, spine leans forward. Small pencil bookseller's notes and numbers on endpapers. Map with edge and fold wear, creases, small tear with cellophane tape on verso. Pages with light edge wear, few small corner bends. Map and pages foxed. Overall a very good copy.
