Unpaginated; signature collation: [A]² B-K² a-c² d¹ ²B-²K² L-13A² 13B¹ (signed 13B-14Z); [*]¹ 15A-16Z² 17A¹ (signed 17A-17Z) 18A-22E² 22F¹ (signed 22F-22Z) 23A-27D² 27E¹ (signed 27E-28Z) 29A-31C². Title-pages printed in red and black; text in two columns; ornamental woodcut tail-pieces. Contemporary speckled calf boards, rebacked to style; spine in seven compartments, with six raised bands, older gilt-lettered morocco labels in red and dark green; boards and spines doubled ruled in black; corners refreshed; page edges sprinkled red; plain endpapers. Boards with some light wear and minor surface scuffs; board edges somewhat worn; corners bumped. Page edges very lightly soiled; margins of the endpapers and preliminary and terminal leaves with some faint offsetting from leather; some leaves faintly tanned, usually more so in the inner columns, but the text is generally quite bright overall; 5C1 and 7A2 in the first volume and 19G1 in the second volume with a corner torn, potentially affecting just a single letter of printed text in the catchword of 5C1; brief later marginal notes on 16I2 recto; only occasional faint marginal soiling, with small faint tidemarks to the upper margin of the first few gatherings in the second volume.
