    More Information:

Ruth Rendell. Wolf to the Slaughter. London: John Long, [1967]. First edition, inscribed by the author on the title-page: "To The Teenage Cancer Trust, / with best wishes, / Ruth Rendell." Octavo. 183, [184] pages. Publisher's dark grayish-brown paper-covered boards, spine lettered in gilt, in original lightly restored dust jacket. Spine leaning; spine ends and corners softly bumped. Page edges and endpapers (to a lesser degree) foxed; over-opened at last gathering. Dust jacket touched up at spine ends and fold edges with some minor paper repairs and light color correcting. Top portion of the center of the dust jacket with a faint tidemark, visible only on rear panel and verso, another smaller and fainter one at the base of the spine; edges lightly worn; rear flap lightly discolored with small blemish to author portrait. A very good copy in a minimally restored jacket. The third Inspector Wexford novel and one of the most difficult Rendell titles to find in collectible condition. From the KoKo Collection.
