    More Information:

Ruth Rendell. To Fear a Painted Devil. London: John Long [1965]. First edition, signed by the author on the title-page. Octavo. 183, [184] pages. Publisher's dark grayish-brown paper-covered boards, spine lettered in red and blue, in original dust jacket. Gentle spine lean; spine ends and corners worn; a couple small blemishes to the rear board. Small splash to fore-edge of first couple leaves; front hinge extended, but holding firm; slightly over-opened in final gathering; slightly shaken. Dust jacket edges lightly worn and lightly discolored from tape or other adhesive residue; rear panel rubbed. Still, a very good copy.

[Together with:] Vanity Dies Hard. London: John Long, [1965]. First edition, signed by the author on the half-title-page above an author-signed bookplate affixed to center of the page. Octavo. 182, [183], [1, blank] pages. Publisher's black paper-covered boards, spine lettered in blue and yellow, in original dust jacket. Gentle spine lean; front board slightly splayed; light rubbing to rear board; bottom corners a touch worn. Dust jacket edges and folds lightly worn; rear panel rubbed with some minor soiling to white background; verso of spine panel faintly discolored. Near fine.

[And:] The Secret House of Death. London: John Long, [1968]. First edition, signed by the author on the title-page. Octavo. 184 pages. Publisher's dark grayish-brown paper-covered boards, spine lettered in gilt, in original lightly restored dust jacket. Gentle spine lean; light wear to spine ends and corners; corners softly bumped; tiny divot to front board with some minor soiling; some minor flaking to rear joint near crown, possibly touched up, with a light sheen visible. Front hinge partially extended but holding film; text-block sagging just slightly. Text block edges reinforced with paper tape at spine ands and flap folds, just a touch of color conservation; rear panel rubbed; occasional very minor soiling. A very good copy in an attractive minimally restored jacket. From the KoKo Collection.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
