    Rudyard Kipling. The Works of Rudyard Kipling, Volumes I-III, V (Vol. 2), XX, and XXII. London: Macmillan & Co., Ltd., 1913-1914. "Bombay edition," Vol. I signed by the author to the series title page. Six volumes. Blue-gray paper over boards backed in beige cloth, printed paper spine labels. Moderate edgewear, joints starting, somewhat rubbed and soiled. Cream endpapers; foxed, Volumes I and II with hinges repaired, Volume III hinges starting, Volume XXII hinges split. Internally generally clean, top edge trimmed and gilt, other edges untrimmed, blue silk ribbon markers; minor foxing, offsetting from ribbon marker, text block edges toned with moderate wear and some chipping. Housed in beige cloth slipcases; moderate edgewear, one case with top seam split. Very good.

    The Bombay Edition of Kipling's writings first appeared in 25 volumes; by 1938, the edition had grown to 31 volumes. This selection of volumes offers a broad spectrum of Kipling's writings from fiction and poetry to his travel writings and more.
