Octavo. [xx], [293], [294-296: blank] pages, frontispiece and two additional illustrated plates inserted with twelve intertextual illustrations by Henry Hutt throughout. Publisher's green cloth, spine and front board letterd in gilt and decoratively stamped in blind with illustrated paper inlay on front board. Spine very slightly leaning, extremities rubbed, corners bumped, page edges and endpapers lightly foxed. Dust jacket rubbed, with some light soiling, wear at edges and folds, splitting at lower half of front joint, crown chipped with tape at verso. Still, a very good copy with unique publication document. From the collection of Dr. Stuart David Schiff.
