    Octavo. xvi, 400 pages. Text in German. Twenty-two plates (few folding), four maps (two folding - one large "Map of the Atchinson, Topeka and Sante Fe R.R. Leased Lines and Connections" on thin paper) and numerous in-text illustrations. Front cover dated 1883, title page dated 1884. Housed in a custom slip case backed in leather, five raised bands with gilt titles. Unopened pages. Front cover detached, front and rear covers with paper chips and small holograph pencil notations. Lacking spine paper, textblock split along most signatures. Loose pages and plates. Pages with edge wear and small edge tears. An excellent candidate for rebinding.
