    Robert Penn Warren. All the King's Men. New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, [1946]. First edition, in first issue dust jacket. Inscribed, signed, and dated "May 14, 1947" by the author. Octavo. [2, blank], [vi], [8, blank], 464 pages. Publisher's maroon cloth binding, spine lettered in gilt; minor wear, corners just bumped. Cream colored endpapers, all edges trimmed; minor discoloration. Dark blue ink inscription to front free endpaper recto, strong and clear. Internally generally quite clean, text block a bit toned. In original color pictorial first issue dust jacket with review from Sinclair Lewis to back panel (rather than rear flap); dust jacket worn and rubbed with chips and a few losses, foxed, approximately 70 mm closed tear to rear flap, other minor tears. Housed in a custom black quarter crushed morocco clamshell, spine lettered and lined in gilt, with five raised bands; near fine. Near fine book in a very good dust jacket, signed and inscribed by the author.
