    Robert Graves. Goodbye to All That. London: Jonathan Cape, [1929]. First edition, second state. Presentation copy, inscribed by Graves on the front free endpaper: "- John Morris -/Yours Affect [sic]/Robert Graves/ Sept 5/1959. Octavo. 448 pages. With portrait frontispiece and several maps and plates inserted throughout. Publisher's full coral cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Original dust jacket. Cloth spine toned; some soiling and edgewear to spine; some rubbing and soiling to boards; boards a bit curved; mild toning to text and endleaves. Recipient's bookplate on front pastedown. Dust jacket spine toned; some rubbing and light edgewear to jacket; a few short tears to jacket edge; some thumbsoiling to jacket; pencil mark through printed price on front flap. A very good copy. The recipient of the book, Major Charles John Morris, was a mountaineer, anthropologist and the controller of the BBC Radio's Third Programme. Morris worked with Graves when Graves was a guest lecturer on the Third Programme. From the James C. Seacrest Collection.
