    Robert Frost. North of Boston. London: David Nutt, [1914]. First edition, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To William Stockhausen / for keeps. / Robert Frost / Dec 26 1960;" previous ownership signature of "Henry James, Jr. / 55 East 65th St." Octavo (7.5625 x 5.625 inches; 192 x 145 mm.). 143, [1] pages. Publisher's first-state green cloth, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, front board lettered in gilt and ruled in blind (horizontal and vertical rules). Backstrip faintly dulled; spine ends very lightly worn; front board gently bowed; corners with a touch of wear, bottom corners bumped. Two pencil checkmarks to contents on page ix; very faint offsetting to pages viii and ix from laid in newspaper clipping. A near fine copy, chemised and housed in a custom slipcase. William E. Stockhausen was a New York attorney whose Frost collection was worthy of mention in his New York Times obituary (April 8, 1974, page 38, accessed online).
