[xii], [164] pages. Publisher's burgundy cloth, covers stamped in blind, spine lettered in gilt. Mustard endpapers. Original first issue pictorial dust jacket, with no ISBN number on the rear panel and with the price $3.95 on the front flap. Very light dust-soiling to the cloth and jacket. Corners lightly rubbed. Uneven toning to the jacket, with light creasing and a few small edge chips. Minor abrading and sunning to the jacket spine. Small square Doubleday sticker to the rear panel of the jacket. Overall, a very good copy of a rare first/first Chocolate Factory.
