    Richard Worsley. The History of the Isle of Wight. London: A. Hamilton, 1781. First edition. Quarto. [12], 274, [8], clxii. Thirty-one engraved plates (twelve of which are double-paged), a lightly hand colored folding map by John Hayward, and seven small in-text illustrations. Bound in full brown leather with gilt vine designed borders, rebacked, new spine with five raised bands and red leather title label, refreshed marbled endpapers. Boards rubbed, chipped and crazed around the borders, corners bumped; holograph pencil annotations on verso of front free endpaper and facing fly-leaf, occasional smudges or soiling, minor foxing, small tears, double-paged plate facing page 201 has a repaired tear, the last page clxii also has a small older paper repair; otherwise in very good condition.
