    Richard Swainson Fisher, M.D. A Chronological History of the Civil War in America. Illustrated With A. J. Johnson's and J. H. Colton's Steel Plate Maps and Plans of the Southern States and Harbors. New York: Johnson and Ward, Publishers, 1863. First edition. Octavo. 160 pages. With 10 hand-colored lithographed maps (8 double-page, 2 folding). Publisher's original green blind-stamped cloth with titles stamped in gilt on the front board and spine. All edges marbled.

    Condition: Very good. Modest shelf wear, mainly at the corners and spine ends. Small portion of lower corner of rear endpaper absent. The large folding map of the United States (Johnson's New Military Map of the United States, with insets of southern harbors) has a few small tape reinforcements at the folds; the large map of Virginia (Johnson's Map of the Vicinity of Richmond, and Peninsular Campaign in Virginia) has a few short closed tears in the folds.
