Description

Signed by President Nixon, and Inscribed by First Lady Pat Nixon

Richard Nixon. Six Crises. Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company, [1962].

Book club edition. Octavo. 448 pages with index. Signed by President Nixon and inscribed by First Lady Pat Nixon.

Original blue buckram with gray buckram spine; silver lettering on cover and spine. This volume is in exceptional condition, with very faint shelf wear; edges and corners are sharp and firm. Dust jacket shows moderate wear with ships and creases to edges; small sections of paper loss at corners; half-inch tear near head of spine affects author's name on jacket. Inscribed to Chiquita Williams by Pat Nixon on the initial flyleaf. Also signed and dated by President Nixon on the same page in black felt-tipped pen, "12-25-78." A very good signed copy. According to an earlier owner of this book, it is believed that Ms. Chiquita Williams was on the Nixon's staff at their "Western White House" in San Clemente, California. Nixon like to call this 1927 Spanish-style mansion overlooking the ocean "La Casa Pacifica."
