    Richard Avedon. An Autobiography. [New York: Random House, 1993]. First edition, one of 250 numbered copies (this being number 73) signed boldly by Avedon on the front free endpaper. Folio. [8], [389 unnumbered pages of black and white photographs], [31] pages. Publisher's full white cloth, lettered in gray and black on front cover, gray on spine, with mounted photo of Avedon on rear cover. Housed in white cloth embossed slipcase and original printed cardboard box. Bright and fine. This book was issued with an engraver's proof of Avedon's portrait of Marilyn Monroe (photograph #134 in the book). This proof (approximately 13 x 10.25 inches) has been matted, framed and glazed by a previous owner.
