Publisher's black cloth, spine and front lettered in gilt; top edge of text block trimmed and stained purple; original illustrated dust jacket. Binding rubbed, particularly at spine; spine ends crimped; trace of shelf wear. Specks of faint foxing and soiling to endpapers. Text block dulled; topstain faded and a bit dust-soiled, with small stain toward fore-edge extending down into page margins. Nicking with a few small chips at edges of jacket, particularly at spine and flap fold ends; edge wear, with associated creasing and short tears; insect damage along top edge of front panel and flap; creasing to folds, with split starting at foot of front panel and flap folds, and a couple of small holes toward middle of front flap fold; a bit of light rubbing and soiling. Very good book in a good jacket.
