Lacks pp. 217-220 (2 leaves). Free endpapers with contemporary notes, top of front endpaper missing, no loss, title with few ink letters, few foxing spots, otherwise generally a clean copy. Lacks V3-4 (2 leaves). Contemporary calf, gilt stamp armorial crest (unidentified) on covers, gilt rules, edges worn, front hinge started at lower front cover, remains of clasp (holes) present.     Bookplate of Henry Lancelot Lee on front pastedown. Griffith Williams (1589?-1672) was well known for his writings which incensed the Puritans, and so created great difficulties for him throughout his professional life.  He was a staunch royalist, and the first to publicly pray for the king after the Restoration.
