Quarto. xii, 187, [1], 508, [15, index] pages. Engraved fold-out map of "Arabia", three genealogical tables (two folding), and a folding plate illustrating "The Temple of Mecca." Title page in red and black. Bound in brown paneled calf with rules and blind stamped designs on covers and spine, boards with gilt edges, leather title label on spine. Bookplate of "George Kenyon/ of Peel Esqr" on front pastedown. Boards rubbed and scuffed, some surface loss along gilt board edges, spine bands rubbed, leather title label faded; front endpapers stained around borders from leather turn-ins, previous owner's holograph pen name on front pastedown and ink initials on the upper borders of second front fly-leaf and title page, two small holes in title page's outer margin, map with small tears, pages lightly cockled, light edge wear and minor creasing, some foxing and light browning, few ink stains, occasional minor smudges and soiling, else in very good condition.
