    More Information: Daniello Bartoli (1608-85), a native of Ferrara and a Jesuit, was well known in his day as a preacher and a professor of rhetoric.  He is regarded by his fellow Italians as one of the purest writers of the Italian language, and indeed, all his works were first published in it.  He was a prolific writers, being known, among other things, for his discoveries in the field of harmonic science. Includes his Dell' Huomo, La Poverta contenta Deacritta, La ricreazione del Savio, Della Geografia trasportata al morale, & De Simboli trasportati al morale.
