Contemporary mottled calf ruled in gilt. Front board detached. Offsetting to endpapers. Signature clipped from FFEP. Pencil notations to rear pastedown and verso of FFEP. Ink notations to right margin of M, pencil notations to margins of Z4. Minor loss to spine head. Scratches and scuffing to leather. Corners bumped. Bookplate of English travel writer Henry Swinburne (1743-1803), with his neat, ink signature to title page. A good copy.
