    Three volumes in one with a prefatory letter by Desiderius Erasmus. Folio. [34], 213; [blank], 221; [blank], [12], 127 leaves. Printer's device on each title page, three identical woodcuts with differing surrounding text, large decorated initials. Modern full blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, brass claps, center brass nail-boss. Small ink stamp on the lower margin of each title page, small pen letters and marks on the first title page, holograph annotation and bookplate remnants on facing page, paper loss with repairs to front leaves including title page of the first volume and to last few leaves of the third volume, not affecting text; small holes in the margins from biopredation in the first volume, one small hole and trail from biopredation in the third volume with minor loss to text, occasional stains, otherwise very good. From the Krown & Spellman Collection.

    The French printer Charlotte Guillard published several works by the controversial Dutch humanist Desiderius Erasmus, including the prefatory letter he wrote for this edition of Tilman's Operum D. Basilii (1547).
