Paris: apud Carolum Guillard, sub sole aureo, and Gulielmum Desboys, 1549. Second edition. Large folio. [16], 811, [blank]; 214, [blank], [128] pages. Large decorated initials, including a large inhabited initial letter "D" on page 529 signed in block "C.G.". Later cloth over paper covered boards, soiled and rubbed, black leather title label to head of spine, title in gilt. Endpapers refreshed; title page remnants backed on half of first leaf, no loss to text; title page and following leaf reinserted. Paper loss from dampstain softening in outer margins and lower right corners of first eighteen pages and last unnumbered pages (not affecting text), creasing, dampstaining, and soiling. About very good. From the Franklin V. Spellman collection of books published by French printer Charlotte Guillard and her associates.
