    More Information:

Thomas Murray (1630?-84) was the clerk register of Glendoick, Scotland. In 1679 he was granted a license to publish all the acts, laws, constitutions, and ordinances, new and old, of Scotland. "He does not seem to have taken much share in the preparation of the bolumes that still are quoted under his name, and certainly did not avail himself of the special facilities for executing the work which his position as lord-clerk-register gave him. His edition of the statutes is copied directly from Skene's edition of 1597, with the subsequent laws printed from sessional publications to bring up the work to 1681." - DNB. Still, Murray's edition of the Statutes was commonly cited as an authority in the Scottish courts until the early twentieth century. It contains the first law on golf.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
